Porcelain, Crystal & Citrus – Classical Still Life

Paintings

Description

Porcelain, Crystal & Citrus – Classical Still Life Original oil on canvas, 16" × 20". Signed lower right “S. Plisov 2014.” Presented in an ornate silver-toned frame with elaborate relief detailing (as shown). A richly detailed classical still life arranged on a dark surface against a deep black background. A tall blue-and-white porcelain vase with intricate patterns stands beside two crystal glasses—one filled with deep red liquid—and a whole orange. A partially peeled lemon rests on a silver tray, its rind curling downward, while a decorative silver compact (or locket) with ornate surface, a small bread roll, and hanging tassels complete the composition. Soft light models the reflective crystal, glossy citrus, and patterned porcelain, creating a sense of quiet luxury and careful observation. Executed in a refined realist manner with strong attention to surface, reflection, and texture, this elegant still life offers both technical sophistication and timeless appeal—ideal for traditional or formal interiors.
