Fallen Tulips, the Last Blossom – Classical Still Life

Paintings

Description

Original oil on canvas, 20" × 16". Signed lower right “Plisov 2020.” Presented in a handsome dark wood frame with ornate gold-leaf detailing (as shown). A cluster of vibrant red and yellow-orange tulips lies gracefully across a dark, reflective surface against a deep black background. Some blossoms are fully open, revealing golden centers and delicate stamens, while others twist and cascade with soft, naturalistic folds. A dark glass vessel rests partially in shadow behind the flowers, adding quiet depth. The painting is executed in a refined classical realist manner, with luminous highlights on the petals, subtle color transitions from scarlet to gold, and strong chiaroscuro that makes the flowers glow against the darkness. This elegant botanical still life captures both the fleeting beauty of the blooms and a timeless sense of quiet drama—ideal for traditional or sophisticated contemporary interiors.
